Project Overview

The client required diverse deliverables for an event, encompassing various flows tailored to different attendee types, including specific triggers and emails. Starting from their requirements (illustrated here), I developed flows for each attendee type with corresponding input fields. Additionally, I designed an event information site, event app, email templates, and sponsor portal.

My Role

Lead designer. Worked alongside project managers, and developers under the direction of a creative director.

The Process

The project started with challenges due to the absence of confirmed branding guidelines, making it difficult to grasp the client's vision. I navigated through numerous initial mock-ups, showcasing essential information and gradually refining a cohesive vision. Once the branding was established, expanding to other deliverables became smoother. Such large-scale project necessitated the involvement of project managers to ensure various attendee flows were effectively catered to. A constant communication with dev team and managers was essential to move the needle.

The Process

In addition to the registration and event information site, we developed an event app packed with essential features like interactive maps, bookable meetings, and a comprehensive FAQ section. On the sponsor side, we created a dedicated portal that allowed sponsors to upload marketing materials, provide shipping information, and manage their event presence effectively.

Outcome 

The Walmart Marketplace Seller Summit 2024, hosted at the Moscone Center in San Francisco attracted over 5,000 sellers from across the globe. The event saw participation from more than 200 top eCommerce brands, making it one of the largest gatherings of marketplace sellers to date.
